Beach Plum Wine Mixer 2011

     My Grandma called my mom yesterday and said "Your girls like nice things, they don't just sit around a drink beer."  Well, g-ma, sometimes we do, but sometimes we work really hard, dress up really nice, and indulge in food, wine and dancing.
     My sister is unbelievable.  Perry, Christina and I had a conference call to set up menu and nail down some last minute items and Christina had nothing to bring to the table.  After we got off the phone, Perry and I were worried that maybe she was too busy with school and work to really think about what to make.  Well, fast forward to Friday.  I'm at work in the city and those two are hustling around Patchogue, rummaging through the isles of super markets and brewing up one of the best menus I have ever heard or tasted at a party.  I got emails throughout the day with thoughts and phrases as they pulled it together.  My excitement was through the roof. I left early, ran for the train and got home in time for spaghetti and meatballs.  Later that night, Rachel, Perry, Christina and I cooked until 11:30, then crashed.
     I'm convinced Perry should go into producing or party planning.  This girl made sure everything went smoothly.  We had meeting times in place, a list of items to buy and pulled it all off before the 12:00 boat left Saturday afternoon.  (This was with the help of Rachel too- she can really get things done FAST).
    I had to cater a party Saturday evening and best believe when the dj threw on Bad Romance I was inches away from crawling on the floor and dancing on one of the Mom's on the buffet line.  I kept it together, barely.
     Nelson picked me up and we hopped on Conner's boat.  The ride over was beautiful. The air was crisp and my lipstick was in place.  The music was on and all three of us couldn't wait to get over there.  It was looking out to be a really incredible night.
     Walking up to the beach on Beach Blum was as cinematic as Heath Ledger hanging out the taxi window in Batman (I always thought that was a pretty shot).  The candles were lit, the food was out and the gang was all there.  Here's our invitation that was snail mailed out to the lucky A listers:
